MMOXmas in July - 7/26/08 |
Thank you for all your submissions over the past month! Please keep submitting updates on currently listed games, upcoming games, and new MMORPGs that you have found. I especially appreciate the submitted comments about broken links or changed MMORPG features so I can keep Free-MMOs.com as up to date as possible. Before we get to the new ones, A Tale in the Desert III has been moved to the free trial page and removed from the free MMORPG list. Three new MMORPGs have been submitted to consume even more of your time. Each of these has a unique flavor and hopefully appeals to you. Requiem catches my eye especially as it's the first horror themed MMORPG with a good amount of blood and gore if you are into that sort of thing.
As for the Featured MMORPG I'm going to leave that one up to you, this is a new thing I'm trying and if it goes well I'll keep it going. For the newer guests the Featured MMORPG is a recommended or personal favorite free MMORPG that I post at the left. If you are currently playing or have played a Free MMORPG that has not been featured yet (see Featured List for past featured MMORPGs) please use the Submit button on the left. Write a short message with the name of the free MMORPG, why it should be featured here, what you like about it, and anything else. You may see your favorite MMORPG and your comments posted on the front page.

It's Summer Time - 6/07/08 |
Six new Free MMORPGs have been added to the lists here at Free-MMOs.com links are provided below but let me give you the run down of what's new. Immortals is a well established fantasy game that you should check out if you are a traditional fantasy fan. Allegiance is a space simulation game with a bit of a shooter element to it. Wyvern is a retro MMORPG and if you are interested they are allowing knowledgeable players the chance to build areas, items, and more. Neo Steam is a PvP centered game, pick one of three nations and battle it out for rewards. Manga Fighter is a fantasy shooter, a fun loving fluffy shooter with magic. And lastly Fishing Champ is... you guessed it, an MMORPG about fishing. Fishing, Free, and MMORPG, does it get better?
The featured MMORPG has been changed to Silkroad. I think this is the last one that is on the featured list that has yet to be featured.
Thanks to both players and developers who made submissions to me over the past few weeks. Many of the submissions made it up here today and some did not due to the nature of the games that were submitted. Keep the submissions coming and thanks for visiting Free-MMOs.com.

3 New Browser MMORPGs - 4/30/08 |
|
The browser list gets a boost with these three new free to play MMORPGs. These these games are produced by Bigpoint. Bigpoint has a few other browser based games on their website as well but they don't quite meet the criteria Free-MMOs is interested in for the free MMORPG list. Dark Orbit, Seafight, and XBlaster have been added to the mmorpg lists around the site. As I said they are all browser based games, a simple registration is all you need to play. Dark Orbit and XBlaser are Science Fiction type games, and Seafight is Pirate themed (our first Pirate/Browser game!) Enjoy the new free MMORPGs and make sure you submit any others you may know about!
The new Free-MMOs Featured Game is Fiesta. Fiesta features great graphics, an imersive 3D Fantasy game world, a great class/career selection and development. Fiesta is a very popular Free MMORPG and is worth some of your time if you haven't sunk a lot into it already.

Are we missing any MMORPGs? - 4/22/08 |
Free-MMOs is always looking for new MMORPGs (or MMORPG trials) to add to our enourmous list. If you know of one please let us know. Only quality "true" MMORPGs will be posted (no text-based browser games here) will be posted. A big appreciation to all the developers of many of these Free MMORPGs who have contacted us through the Submit button in the past.

Big Updates, New Games, New Features - 3/24/08 |
A little later than expected but the update that I promised is finally here! A lot of technical things, the important part is the new games at the bottom so skip to that if you aren't interested in too many details.
The Game of the Week on the left sidebar has been changed to the Free-MMOs Feature. This won't be updated as often but there should be a new featured game every two weeks at most. You can find a list of past Featured MMORPGs at the new link in the Navigation bar.
Another update to the navigation bar is the Sort by Type page. This page lists out all of the MMORPG genre types that are used at Free-MMOs.com. This should hopefully make finding a game that is right for you easier. Home is now known as News, and some links were removed to simplify the Navigation area.
All of the lists have been updated! All the lists now have linked types. For example if you were looking at a few MMORPGs and decided you wanted to try a 2D one, just click the 2D link in the Type column of the lists. This same feature has always been in the full list but it's now on all the lists. I've also updated the descriptions on all the types. A few that were changed: FPS is now called Shooters, Vehicles is now called Car, and Turn-based has been removed.

Upcoming Updates - 3/10/08 |
I'm working on a few updates that will go up sometime later next week. Mainly the catagorizing and organization of the free mmorpgs on the lists will be changed. The changes should make it easier to find the game that is right for you. A few new MMORPGs will be added to the lists as well. The game of the week box is going to change to a featured game section as well. Until then find a good game and have fun!

Game of the Week: Pirate King - 2/20/08 |
Pirate King Online is this week's Game of the Week. Also remember that if you find a Free MMORPG that we don't have use the submit button on the left menu. Free-MMOs is always looking to build the lists up but also maintains a high level of quality in the games that we post. Only true MMORPGs make it on our lists, enjoy them!

Game of the Week: Planeshift - 2/13/08 |
Planeshift is this week's Free-MMOs.com game of the week. Planeshift has an interesting feature that sets it apart from any other MMORPG out there, it is open source. That means that the players can and do actually develop the game. Every aspect of the game from the graphics to the combat system has all been developed by players of this game. This creates a unique aspect to each different dungeon and city. Deffinately check out this free mmorpg and who knows, maybe you will be Planeshift's next big developer.

Game of the Week: Dungeon Runners - 2/06/08 |
Dungeon Runners is this week's Game of the Week. Dungeon Runners is a free mmorpg with a lot of action and great elements of play. The game is suited to solo play or you can group up with your friends online. The graphics and effects are colorful and exagerated but the game is capable of running on even mediocre computers. Choose to play as Fighter, Mage or Ranger in a realm of terror, magic and adventure. Unlock powerful new skills as you gain experience on your journey into the unknown. The Game of the Week is Rappelz. The game has great graphics and a huge community if you haven't tried this one out yet head over to the download page and give it a shot. Here is the Rappelz description: Rappelz offers exciting gameplay with fun and intense combat. There are
